CHESTERFIELD TRAVEL AGENT

VOTED NUMBER ONE

Tuesday 7 July 2009: A Chesterfield travel agent has been voted best Cruise Agent of the Year. Yvonne Pearce from Cruise Ahead, has been presented with the prestigious award by the Association of Cruise Experts (ACE), an organisation representing more than 3,000 travel agencies the length and breadth of Britain.

Yvonne received the award at the ACE UK Cruise Convention in Dover where more than 650 delegates gathered to discuss everything cruise. The ACE Cruise Agent of the Year award reflects the service provided by Yvonne who has increased her own expertise and knowledge of cruise holidays and has gone above and beyond ‘the call of duty’ to highlight cruising to customers. Yvonne took top place after ACE members were invited to nominate their chosen individual.

The number of people cruising continues to grow – last year a record 1.5 million Brits took a cruise holiday. There are 10 cruise ship launches this year with another 29 planned within the next three years. There’s a cruise for everyone with ships varying from resort-style vessels through to small ultra-luxury yachts, and destinations include the ever popular Mediterranean, Caribbean and Baltic to off the beaten track ports in South America, Australia and the Far East.

ACE director Andy Harmer commented: “The cruise industry is particularly exciting and innovative and this year sees the launch of the largest cruise ship ever built. As cruising is so diverse it’s essential the customer is matched with the right cruise for their requirement and this is where travel agents play such a significant role and I am delighted to say that Yvonne has shown herself a worthy winner.”

‘Big Hand Award’ Sept 2008 from Royal Caribbean

We are pleased to confirm that Cruise Ahead have been recognised for their high standards of achievement with an award from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line which was presented to Managing Director Yvonne Pearce on the 9^th September 08 at a star studded ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Chesterfield Cruise Specialist Yvonne Pearce, owner of Cruise Ahead Ltd is riding on the crest of a wave after winning a prestigious East Midlands e-business award.

Her award for ‘Best e-business Start-Up’ was handed over by Dominic Heale, of East Midlands Today along with a cheque for £5,000 and a bottle of champagne during a ceremony at the East Midlands Conference Centre.
